Native American, Southwestern United States, Zuni Pueblo, ca. mid to late-20th century CE. A sterling silver bolo tie with a Sunface motif, inlaid with turquoise, mother of pearl, coral, and black onyx, and accented by conical silver tips terminating in dangling sunface elements. The verso is signed “ABEL S” for Zuni artist Abel Soseeah. The pendant is mounted on a leather cord with a nickel silver adjustable slide clasp. Size of pendant: 2.5″ Diameter (6.4 cm); cord doubled: 35″ L (88.9 cm); silver quality: 92%
Condition: Dark patina and toning to silver, intact and wearable.
