Latin America, Mexico, Taxco, ca. after 1979 CE. A bold, sculptural cuff by William Spratling, this striking bracelet pairs gleaming sterling silver with deep rosewood in a design that feels both architectural and effortlessly wearable. The form is built from broad, gently domed silver panels alternating with warm wood segments, each joined by crisp rivets that create a rhythmic, modernist cadence around the wrist. The contrast is the magic here: mirror-bright silver against dark, finely grained rosewood, a marriage of materials long associated with Taxco’s most ambitious design era. The segmented construction gives the bracelet a strong silhouette while allowing it to curve comfortably, making it as practical as it is visually commanding. Inside, the cuff is clearly marked with the “William Spratling / Taxco, Mexico” stamp, the WS signed initials, and “925” at the center. It also bears the “TS-24” mark, indicating production after 1979. A handsome example of Spratling’s enduring legacy, this bracelet carries forward the workshop’s celebrated balance of clean geometry, impeccable finishing, and Mexican modernist flair.

Condition: Some stable natural fissures to rosewood as well as light scratches and scuffs to silver in areas. Scattered areas of patina; all can be easily cleaned. Otherwise, very nice and wearable with clear Spratling and TS-24 marks.
