Central Asia, Afghanistan, ca. 20th to early 21st century CE. A gorgeous silver ring with a huge hexagonal bezel of an eye agate. The impressive stone boasts a dark caramel-colored center surrounded by natural banding in hues of sage, vanilla, butterscotch, and white. A row of tabs borders the periphery of the bezel, while the underside and band are adorned with mesmerizing scroll motifs – gilt on the underside and raised on the band. Size of bezel: 1.25″ L x 1.25″ W (3.2 cm x 3.2 cm); of ring: 1.25″ L x 1.25″ W (3.2 cm x 3.2 cm); US ring size: 9.25; quality of silver: 90.68%; weight: 30 grams
Condition: Intact, excellent, and wearable with some light patina throughout.
