Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Sumatra, ca. late 20th to early 21st century CE. A pair of Sumatran amber bangle bracelets shaped from warm honey and cognac-toned fossilized resin. Each bracelet is polished to a smooth, high-gloss surface that highlights the internal striations. When exposed to ultraviolet light, the amber exhibits a blueish glow, dramatically illuminating its internal striations and organic inclusions formed over millions of years. Size of largest: 5″ Diameter x 1″ W x 3″ interior diameter (12.7 cm x 2.5 cm x 7.6 cm)

Condition: Larger has a chip to the exterior on a light hued patch. Smaller bracelet has a chip to the inner edge and stable hairline fissure in this area. Irregular shaping to exteriors on both and minor scratches to surfaces. Wearable.
