Eastern Mediterranean, Cyprus, Cypriot culture, ca. 2nd to 1st millennium BCE. A wearable necklace composed of 20 ancient spherical faience beads with turquoise glaze and several tiny seed-bead spacers, all restrung on a modern gold chain. The chain tests at approximately 71% to 73% gold (equivalent to 17K+), and is fitted with a hook clasp for secure wear. Size of strand: 16″ L (40.6 cm); bead: 0.5″ Diameter (1.3 cm); gold quality: 71% to 73% (equivalent to 17K+)

Condition: Mineral deposits and wear to beads as expected with age. Some chips and abrasions. Strung in modern times on a modern gold chain and wearable.

Provenance: private Lake Worth, Florida, USA collection, acquired via descent in April 1997; ex-private American collection in Cyprus, acquired between 1957 to 1969, brought to USA in 1969
