In stock
Kristi Beaudette (American, 1946-2000). “The Workers” oil on canvas, 1989. Signed and dated at lower left and on verso. Titled on verso. “The Workers” is a luminous impressionistic landscape by American painter Kristi Beaudette, capturing a field of blossoms bursting with vibrant color beneath a pastel sky. Rows of cultivated flowers fill the foreground, where laborers can be seen tending to the crops, their forms integrated into the rhythm of the land. Beyond, the rolling hills and distant mountains rise in soft blue and lavender hues, evoking depth and atmosphere. A solitary tree, painted with dappled strokes of violet, green, and cerulean, anchors the composition, standing as both observer and participant in the scene. Executed in 1989, this painting exemplifies Beaudette’s mastery of color and brushwork, blending natural observation with painterly vitality. Size of painting: 29.5″ W x 23.5″ H (74.9 cm x 59.7 cm); of frame: 37″ W x 31″ H (94 cm x 78.7 cm)
The subject reflects the artist’s sensitivity to both landscape and human presence, where agricultural labor is honored as an integral part of the natural cycle. Her textured brushstrokes create a lively surface, filled with light, movement, and the suggestion of fleeting seasonal beauty.
