A woven cotton ikat textile, likely used as a hip cloth known as a hinggi, featuring resist-dyed motifs arranged in horizontal bands in earthy tones. Registers of abstract forms and stylized animals create a balanced and graphic composition characteristic of Sumbanese weaving traditions. Size: 110″ L x 33.5″ W (279.4 cm x 85.1 cm)
Condition: Minor thread pulls and discoloration, but otherwise great condition.
