Magna Graecia, South Italic, Apulia, ca. 340 to 325 BCE. A lovely group of four Apulian pottery items, including a shallow plate with a ringed base, a disc-shaped pole oil lamp, a shallow black-glazed salt dish with a ringed base, and a miniature black-glazed pitcher with applied handle. Size of largest: 5″ W (12.7 cm).

Condition: All items have age-commensurate surface wear, minor nicks and losses, with root marks and mineral deposits throughout.

Provenance: private Carlton collection, Los Angeles, California, USA, acquired between 1965 and 1980
