Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A group of three small glass vessels including two ancient Roman examples and one later elongated vial. The Roman pieces consist of a globular jar with a marvered surface and iridescent weathering and a tall pear-shaped bottle with a narrow neck and pearlescent iridescence. The elongated vial has a pitted matte surface and an intact flared rim. Size: 2″ W x 3.75″ H (5.1 cm x 9.5 cm)
Condition: Losses to rim on the largest as shown, but nice iridescence. Globular burgundy jar has a piece of glass attached to rim that is not original, loss, and visible breakline on rim. Nice mineral deposits and iridescence. Elongated vial has a pitted, rough surface but it intact.
