Near East / Central Asia, Iran (Persia), Afghanistan, Northern India, Bactria and Gandhara cultures, Kushan to Sasanian periods, ca. 2nd to 7th century CE. A small collection of ancient metal and stone objects including a Sasanian silver drachm cut and modified as a pendant, a bronze stamp seal depicting a horse and rider, and a Persian bronze harness ring terminating in a stylized ram or bird head with a flat disc opposite. Also included are several simple bronze rings likely used as finger rings, hair ornaments, or attachment loops, a steatite stone vessel lid from Central Asia, and a small zoomorphic bronze fitting representing the forequarters of an ungulate animal. Size of stone lid: 1.4″ Diameter (3.6 cm)

Condition: Chips and abrasions, but stable conditions. Hole / loss to silver pendant. Mineral deposits on stone lid.
