$455.00

In stock

South Asia, India, ca. early to mid-20th century CE. A rounded red sandstone fitted with brass cast relief panels encircling the sides and base, depicting Hindu-Buddhist deities or devotional figures. The stone may be a gathered sacred cobble from a river or other meaningful site, giving the piece an appealing sense of pilgrimage and place. The contrast between the warm sandstone and the dark, time-worn brass lends it a quiet, contemplative character!_x000D_
