Pre-Columbian, Northern Mexico, Chihuahua region, Casas Grandes, Ramos Blackware type, ca. 1200 to 1450 CE. A set of hand-built pottery bowls, each with stone-burnished surfaces that exhibit pleasant dark hues. The first piriform jar has a gradually sloping shoulder that culminates in a flared rim as well as a pair of loop handles. The larger vessel is relatively apple-shaped and has a thick rim flaring outwards at the top. Size of largest: 9.00″ Diameter x 5.7″ H (22.9 cm x 14.5 cm)

Condition: Each vessel with areas of restoration to bodies and rims, with resurfacing and overpainting along new material and break lines. Each with abrasions, minor pitting, and scattered areas of fading pigment, otherwise in nice condition. Great dark hues throughout. Previous inventory label beneath each base.
