Native American, Southern Colorado Plateau, Anasazi, Kayenta, ca. 1000 to 1100 CE. A miniature Anasazi Kayenta pottery ladle and a wearable necklace strung with ancient Anasazi stone beads. The ladle is decorated with ample linear, stepped, and geometric motifs in black slip on a white ground, and the necklace exhibits an array of shapes and sizes of beads. Size (ladle): 4.3″ L x 2.3″ W x 2.3″ H (10.9 cm x 5.8 cm x 5.8 cm); (necklace): 26″ L (66 cm); (largest bead): 0.73″ L x 0.42″ W (1.9 cm x 1.1 cm)

Condition: Ladle has repair to handle with small chips and light adhesive residue along break line. Minor abrasions and fading to pigment. Necklace is wearable as shown and strung in modern times. Stone beads are ancient; stringing is modern. Small nicks and light abrasions to some beads.
