Native American, Northwestern United States, Alaska or Canada, Inuit, ca. 20th century CE. A set of 2 hand-carved soapstone figures of a man and a woman. The man stands with parted feet and a slight forward lean while holding the back of a spear carved from bone, and the woman wears a jacket with an elongated hood. Size: 1.26″ L x 2.04″ W x 3.76″ H (3.2 cm x 5.2 cm x 9.6 cm)

Condition: Bone spear with losses to back point as shown. Both figures with small chips and light abrasions, otherwise intact and very good.

Provenance: private Greenwood Village, Colorado, USA collection
