Native American, Mississippian, ca. 900 to 1500 CE. A substantial Mississippian pottery stirrup vessel of hefty rounded form, featuring a looped handle and spout with small find holes on the shoulder and base, recovered from Poinsett County, Arkansas, and reflecting the utilitarian yet distinctive ceramic traditions of the region. Size: 6.3″ L x 6″ W x 8.1″ H (16 cm x 15.2 cm x 20.6 cm)

Condition: Weathering with some nicks and abrasions to surface as shown. Find holes in the shoulder and base. Otherwise, intact and excellent with rich earthen and mineral encrustations.
