Europe, Grand Tour period, ca. mid 17th to late 18th century CE. A cast seated bronze figure emulating a 26th Dynasty Egyptian figure. The depicted figure, identified as the royal architect Imhotep, is depicted wearing an ankle-length kilt and an ornate incised pectoral on his chest, holding an open scroll with both hands. He presents a large and slightly elongated head, almond-shaped eyes, large ears, and a prominent nose. Size: 2.5″ L x 1.375″ W x 4.75″ H (6.4 cm x 3.5 cm x 12.1 cm); 5.75″ H (14.6 cm) on included custom stand.
Condition: Lovely patina with minor earthen deposits.
