Kelly Heck (American, XXI). Mixed Media painting (acrylic paint + decorative ornaments), n.d. Artist signature “KH” lower right. Delightfully bold and fun, this impressively large mixed media painting by contemporary artist Kelly Heck is sure to make an impression. The composition presents a lively street scene featuring colorful characters. At the center a dapper couple promenades before a band of busking musicians. The gent dons a striped suit, a royal blue bow tie and pocket square, platform shoes, and a derby cap (with a well endowed hen hovering above) – smokes a cigar, peers through his monocle, and holds a ROTA briefcase in one hand and a white key fob to their elegant red car in the other. The lady rivals his sense of style with her wide-brimmed hat adorned by a hibiscus blossom shading her glamorously made up visage (just look at those long lashes and that bright blue eye shadow) and blonde bobbed coiffure, in addition to her floral-patterned mini skirt, cuffed white blouse, high heeled pumps, and red striped purse. She holds an enormous wad of cash dollars in one hand, presumably for the musicians’ tip jar, in one hand and rests the other on her companion’s shoulder. Playfully peeking from behind is an endearing fox with a pointy snout and toothy grin. A wonderful painting destined to be a conversation piece in any collection rendered with vibrant hues and a tremendous sense of humor! Size: 60.25″ L x 35.875″ W (153 cm x 91.1 cm)

Condition: Excellent. Artist’s signature “KH” at the lower right. Fit with suspension wire. Artist’s painting extends to the sides of the canvas, so framing is optional.
