Southeast Asia, Burma, ca. 18th century CE. A finely-aged example of a wooden ox cart wheel with a circular form and a rectangular axle hole. Wheels like this were used to transport large carts, typically with oxen in front of them bearing the weight of pulling the load. Size: 24.5″ W x 25.5″ H (62.2 cm x 64.8 cm); 25.25″ H (64.1 cm) on included custom stand.
Condition: Chips and wear to both sides as shown, with chips and abrasions, otherwise in good condition. Previous inventory label on verso.
