Native American, Mississippian culture, ca. 1200 to 1400 CE. A compact and finely carved black stone pipe, its squared bowl and tapering stem precisely drilled and polished, reflecting both skilled craftsmanship and its role in ceremonial or social smoking traditions. Size: 3.8″ L x 1.6″ W x 2.1″ H (9.7 cm x 4.1 cm x 5.3 cm)
Condition: Stem has been repaired with chipping and small losses along break lines as well as visible adhesive in areas. A few chips, as well as nicks and abrasions as shown.
