Central Asia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Northern India, Gandhara, ca. 3rd to 7th century CE. A gathering of 5 hand-built pottery molds intended for forming detailed reliefs. Included are molds to form a 4-lobed leaf; a petite, intricate leaf; a sizable foliate panel; a column of cloud or flame; and a large lotus flower. Size of largest: 3.9″ L x 2.4″ W x 1.5″ H (9.9 cm x 6.1 cm x 3.8 cm)
Condition: Two molds with losses; remaining 3 are intact. Each with minor softening to finer details, otherwise in great condition. Custom putty impressions included.
