Central Asia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Northern India, Gandhara, ca. 3rd to 7th century CE. A set of 5 pottery molds used for creating a variety of designs. Included are molds to form an curving serpent; a pair of conjoined spherical objects; a dharma wheel; a curved leaf resembling a fleur-de-lis; and an unidentifiable form. Size of largest: 3.8″ L x 3.1″ W x 0.9″ H (9.7 cm x 7.9 cm x 2.3 cm)

Condition: Loss to portion of 1 mold; remaining molds are intact. Each with minor softening to finer details, otherwise in great condition. Custom putty molds included for 4 of the 5 pieces.
