A pottery head from a larger funerary figure, mold formed with a rounded face, nose ridge, and simplified ears, its surface showing earthen deposits and weathering consistent with long burial. The fragment likely once belonged to a tomb attendant or figure placed in Han dynasty burials, reflecting the period’s tradition of including ceramic figures to accompany the deceased in the afterlife. Size: 4.5″ L x 4″ W (11.4 cm x 10.2 cm)
Condition: Fragment from a larger piece. Pressure fissures across the surface radiating from the neck. Root marks and earthen deposits.
