Lot 269, Auction 3/19/2026: 2 Silver Bolo Ties, Zuni Dancer by Lavonne Lalio

$390.00

In stock

Native American, Southwestern United States, Zuni Pueblo, ca. mid to late 20th century CE. This pair of Southwestern bolo ties offers two distinct looks: one features a sterling silver chief-bonnet hoop dancer rendered in Zuni inlay with nacre, turquoise, coral, bone, onyx, and signed on the verso “ZUNI LL” for Lavonne Lalio, while the other centers on a large natural turquoise cabochon set in a bold sterling bezel. Both are strung on woven black leather cords and finished with sterling silver terminal tips, and each uses a brass slide clasp for easy adjustment. The Lalio piece brings lively figural presence and classic Zuni lapidary color contrasts, and the turquoise bolo delivers a clean, high-impact stone statement suited to Western wear or display. Size of turquoise pendant: 2″ L x 1.75″ W (5.1 cm x 4.4 cm); cord: 46″ L (116.8 cm); silver quality: 92% to 94%

Condition: Vintage conditions, but wearable. Scratches to silver and cleanable patina.

Provenance: private Tipp City, Ohio, USA collection
