R. Kevin Kelley (American, 20th to 21st century). Pottery lidded vase and lamp, n.d. Signed on underside of jar. A beautiful pair of Western Raku ware ceramic vessels by American studio potter R. Kevin Kelley: a lidded jar and a lamp. Both vessels boast elegant decoration geometric motifs rendered in white craquelure glaze juxtaposed against carbon black. First, the jar displays a voluminous, apple-form body surmounted by a slightly convex lid, while stunning iridescence adorns the matte black walls. Alternatively, the lamp features an open top and a petite hole in the bottom with a groove for fitting the lamp rod and cord. Size of larger (jar): 9.5″ W x 9.5″ H (24.1 cm x 24.1 cm)

Condition: Signed on underside of jar. A few minor chips to glaze on top rim of lamp, and very light surface wear to both, but otherwise, both are intact and excellent.
