Ancient Near East, Northwestern Iran, Luristan, ca. 1200 to 800 BCE. A set of 4 bronze votive weapons from the ancient Luristan culture. First is a cylindrical mace head with protruding spikes, and next is a petite axe head with 4 spikes protruding from the verso of the socketing shaft. Next is a 2-headed axe with a pole and a pair of pommel crests, and the largest is a pole mace bearing a spherical head. Size of largest (pole mace): 5.25″ L x 0.8″ W (13.3 cm x 2 cm)

Condition: Pole mace with loss to bottom of handle as shown; remaining 3 items are intact. Each piece with minor abrasions and age-commensurate earthen deposits, otherwise in great condition. Nice patina throughout.
