Native American, Southwestern United States, Ancestral Puebloan (Anasazi), ca. 1000 to 1300 CE. A strand composed of very small white shell heishi disc beads, strung on a modern cotton thread and centered by a natural scallop shell pendant. Size of shell pendant: 1.75″ L x 1.6″ W (4.4 cm x 4.1 cm); strand doubled: 24″ L (61 cm)

Condition: Minor nicks and abrasions. Small loss to shell pendant as shown. Light mineral deposits. Strung in modern rims on a cotton thread.

Provenance: private Denver, Colorado, USA collection, acquired prior to 2002
