North Pacific, Hawaii, ca. mid to late 20th century CE. A fun hand-carved wooden ku’tiki totem representing hospitality which is symbolized by the pineapple atop the figure’s head. The stylized figure is shown squatting with hands resting together on knees. His huge head displays alnted eyes and a gaping mouth exposed 2 rows of teeth. Crafted from a single piece of tree trunk, this sculpture could serve as an intriguing garden or building decoration to welcome guests! Size: 10.5″ L x 10.75″ W x 47.5″ H (26.7 cm x 27.3 cm x 120.6 cm)

Condition: Stable stress fissures as shown with light surface wear. Otherwise, intact and excellent with rich patina.
