Sold

United States, World War I era or earlier, ca. 1910s CE. An antique army uniform with a high collar service coat, made from durable wool and cotton lining construction, and matching jodhpur style pants. Sporting eagle emblem buttons, a crossed cannon insignia pin on the collar which indicates field artillery, and a bar pin (“coffin” style”) on the right shoulder for second Lieutenant rank. This is a small men’s size, the inner jacket pocket has a cloth label with a handwritten name, lot number: 5016, and size 36. The spidery handwriting is hard to discern, but perhaps the soldier could be identified and further researched. Size of jacket: 27″ L x 20″ W (68.6 cm x 50.8 cm); men’s size 36.

Condition: Old insect moth activity with some holes on interior and exterior, including sleeves and front panels. Slight musty smell from storage. Overall good condition for age.
