Roman, early Imperial period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A bell-shaped glass unguentarium of petite size bearing delicately marbled (or marvered) strands of opaque white glass throughout the soft yellow glass matrix. Layers of rainbow-hued iridescence have formed from the flared rim and slender neck down to the gently convex base. Size: 2.17″ L x 2.18″ W x 2.59″ H (5.5 cm x 5.5 cm x 6.6 cm)

Condition: Minor abrasions, with light micro-bubbling within glass matrix, small nicks to some opaque white strands, and light weathering film, otherwise intact and excellent. Great iridescence throughout.
