Pre-Columbian, Chimu-Inca, ca. 1000 to 1470 CE. This necklace is composed of ancient Spondylus shell beads, valued in the Andes for their vibrant color and ceremonial associations. Strung in modern times and fully wearable, it is finished with a magnetic clasp for ease of use. Size of strand: 23.5″ L (59.7 cm); largest bead: 2″ L x 0.5″ W (5.1 cm x 1.3 cm)

Condition: Natural pitting and wear to beads. Strung in modern times with a magnet clasp and wearable.
