East Asia, China, Qing Dynasty, ca. late 19th to mid-20th century CE. A collection of 3 leaded-copper alloy and enamel cloisonne vases and box with classic motifs of dragons, flowers, and stylized patterns often seen in Chinese enamel. The underside of the trinket box is marked “CHINA,” which suggests this was probably made after 1891 and possibly before the 1940s when “made in China” became standard. Size of vase: 5″ Diameter x 10.2″ H (12.7 cm x 25.9 cm)

Condition: Nicks to enamel and some surface discoloration. Interior of large vase has mineral / soot buildup from previous use. Patina and dark toning on metal areas of all. Good vintage / antique condition.

Provenance: private Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA collection, acquired between 1964 to mid-1990s
