Native America, Anasazi (Ancestral Puebloan), Mogollon Highlands, Mogollon-Mimbres, Mogollon Brown Ware, Tularosa Fillet Rim Smudged type, ca. 1100 to 1300 CE. A delightful pottery bowl of the Tularosa Fillet Rim Smudged type, boasting a minimalist hemispherical form with a triple horizontal band of textured decoration beneath the rim. The shape of the elegant vessel is complemented by its dramatic coloring with a lustrous black interior and a red clay exterior both typical of Tularosa Fillet Rim Smudged type. The combination of this exterior effect and the polished black-soot interior creates a particularly successful aesthetic presentation. Size: 8″ W x 3.9″ H (20.3 cm x 9.9 cm)
