Native American, Mississippian culture, ca. 800 to 1600 CE. A well-balanced pottery bowl with a rounded base and gently flaring rim, accented by opposing ridged lug handles and a softly burnished surface that reflects the refined utility and understated elegance of Mississippian ceramic traditions. Size: 9.2″ L x 8.2″ W x 5.2″ H (23.4 cm x 20.8 cm x 13.2 cm)
Condition: A few chips to rim a with nicks and abrasions to surface as shown, all commensurate with age. Otherwise, intact and very nice. Old collection labels on underside of base.
