Ancient Near East, Northwestern Iran, Luristan, ca. 1200 to 800 BCE. A set of 2 spear tips of lengthy forms. The first spear tip exhibits an elongated petaloid form and is cast from bronze while the longer, cast-bronze spear tip features a tapered tang and a thick midrib running the length of the blade head. Both are covered in layers of naturally-occurring patina in hues of green and brown. Size of largest: 18.5″ L x 1.625″ W (47 cm x 4.1 cm)

Condition: Each artifact with light abrasions, with bending to tang of longer spear tip, otherwise intact and very good. Great patina throughout.

Provenance: private Everett, Massachusetts, USA collection, purchased in 2015 from Zurqieh LLC, Dubai, UAE
