Southeast Asia, Indonesia, ca. 21st century CE. This large petrified wood bowl has a dense, weighty feel and a thick-walled form with a smooth, high polish that highlights its natural colors. The surface ranges from deep black to smoky gray, crossed with pale white and silver striations. A striking statement piece on its own, it works beautifully as a centerpiece, catchall, or sculptural display bowl. Size: 13.5″ L x 11″ W x 5.5″ H (34.3 cm x 27.9 cm x 14 cm)

Condition: Minor scratches and nicks to surface, otherwise intact.
