Greece, Hellenistic Period, ca. 4th to 3rd century BCE. A mold-formed terracotta relief fragment depicting a male figure with piercing eyes, a curly coiffure and beard, and a grand headdress bedecked with rosettes and palmettes. Size: 2.25″ L x 3″ W x 5.5″ H (5.7 cm x 7.6 cm x 14 cm); 6.4″ H (16.3 cm) on included custom stand.
Condition: Fragment of a larger relief as shown. Softening to finer details and light earthen deposits, otherwise in great condition. Nice form.
