Ancient Egypt, Third Intermediate to Late Dynastic Period, 21st to 31st Dynasty, ca. 1070 to 664 BCE. A lovely double-strand necklace of wearable form that is strung with dozens of glazed faience beads with modern golden-hued beads interspersed throughout. The beads are tubular and seed-form in presentation and feature a myriad of beautiful colors! Size (necklace): 25.5″ L (64.8 cm); (largest bead): 0.53″ L x 0.13″ W (1.3 cm x 0.3 cm)
Condition: Wearable as shown and strung in modern times. Faience beads are ancient; stringing and metal components are modern. Minor abrasions and fading to glaze pigment on some beads, otherwise intact and excellent. Great remains of glaze color throughout.
