Eastern Africa, Madagascar, early to mid-Triassic period, ca. 252 to 220 million years ago. A striking cross-section slab of petrified wood, cut from an ancient tree trunk and polished on one face to reveal dramatic concentric growth-ring patterning and natural mineral color shifts in smoky gray, cream, and warm russet tones. The surface also includes scattered crystalline vugs and natural fissures, highlighting the specimen’s geological transformation and age. Size: 10.5″ L x 0.75″ W (26.7 cm x 1.9 cm)
Condition: Professionally prepared and highly polished on one face. Stable perforations and fissures from the fossilization process.
