Pre-Columbian, North Coast of Peru, Moche, Phase IV, ca. 450 to 700 CE. A hand-built pottery stirrup vessel with an owl seated atop a convex, beige-hued base that is painted with large black mice running to the right. Size: 6.2″ L x 5.2″ W x 7.75″ H (15.7 cm x 13.2 cm x 19.7 cm)
Condition: Restoration to handle bases and portions of owl, with resurfacing and overpainting along new material and break lines. Abrasions and fading to pigment, otherwise in nice condition. Great presentation.
