Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Jalisco, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A hand-built and highly burnished pottery female figure that presents nude with perky breasts, stands upon delineated legs, and exhibits minimalist facial features, all beneath a layer of red slip. Size: 2.4″ L x 5.625″ W x 8.7″ H (6.1 cm x 14.3 cm x 22.1 cm)

Condition: Professional repair and restoration to front of proper left foot for stabilization purposes, with resurfacing and overpainting along new material and break lines. Abrasions and fading to pigment, with scattered earthen deposits, and chipping in several areas, otherwise in nice condition. Great pigment remains throughout.

Provenance: private Reinsmoen collection, Clear Lake, Iowa, USA, acquired through descent from Robert Anderson, acquired prior to 2000
