Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Jalisco, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A hand-built, highly burnished, and red-slipped pottery figure of a nude woman seated upon a wide posterior while holding arms out from sloped shoulders and beside pointed breasts, and with head raised to show her prominent nose and minimalist cap. Size: 2.5″ L x 5.4″ W x 6.8″ H (6.4 cm x 13.7 cm x 17.3 cm)

Condition: Minor abrasions and light fading to pigment, with even craquelure across most surfaces, and scattered earthen deposits, otherwise intact and very good. Nice preservation to figural form. Previous inventory label beneath base.
