North Africa, Morocco, Devonian Period to Cretaceous Period, ca. 419.2 to 66 million years ago. A sculptural fossil stone featuring a partial ammonite shell preserved within a warm brown matrix. The fossil forms are pale quartzite, contrasting against the surrounding darker surface, which has been cut and polished to resemble a full shell. Size: 14″ D x 5″ H (35.6 cm D x 12.7 cm H)
