Native American, southwestern United States, Navajo tribe, ca. mid to late 20th century CE. A lovely and wearable necklace comprised of one-hundred-and-thirty-six pierced cylindrical coral beads and twenty-eight arrow-shaped shell fragments with pointed tips and string-cut notches. Each of the beads are strung on tan-colored string. Size (necklace): 25.5″ L (64.8 cm); size of largest bead (shell): 0.8″ L (2 cm).

Condition: Strung in modern times and wearable as shown. Small nicks and light abrasions to most beads, otherwise intact and very good.

Provenance: ex-Davis collection, Houston, Texas, acquired before 2013 from various auction houses in London and New York
