Pre-Columbian, Western Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A hand built orange-colored terracotta Colima flat depicting a standing female with womb, genitalia, and attenuated arms. A visage comprised of disc-shaped eyes, a protruding nose, pursed lips, and slender cheeks gives her a tranquil appearance; she wears a large arching headband across her brow and a necklace with a large hanging pendant across her neck. Size: 3.875″ W x 8.375″ H (9.8 cm x 21.3 cm); 10″ H (25.4 cm) on included custom wooden stand.

Condition: Restoration to figure’s left leg. Surface wear commensurate with age, minor losses to hands and headband, with great earthen and mineral deposits throughout.
