Central Asia, India, ca. early 20th century CE. A fine silvered brass amulet of a yaksha, a forest-dwelling beast in Indian lore. The figure stands atop an integral rectangular plinth and is depicted wearing ornate clothing and holding a lengthy pole in both hands. Size: 0.5″ W x 1.2″ H (1.3 cm x 3 cm).

Condition: Minor abrasions and softening to some finer details, otherwise intact and very good.
