Egypt, Third Intermediate Period, 21st to 25th Dynasty, ca. 1069 to 653 BCE. A terracotta ushabti, standing in mummiform, wearing a tripartite headdress and holding the symbolic pick and hoe to work the fields of Osiris in the afterlife. While facial and hieroglyph details have faded over time, traces of original red-orange pigment are still visible. Size: 3.5″ W x 1.25″ H (8.9 cm x 3.2 cm).

Condition: Expected age-commensurate surface wear and pitting, fading to details and hieroglyphs, otherwise intact with remnants of original pigment still visible throughout.
