Pre-Columbian, Ancient Mesoamerican cultures, ca. 300 BCE to 1500 CE. A conical stone pestle or mano, shaped for handheld use with a flat base and tapering form, showing surface wear consistent with repeated grinding. Such tools were used in the preparation of foods, medicines, and pigments, and also played a role in pottery production and other daily activities.. Size: 6″ L x 2.75″ W (15.2 cm x 7 cm)
Condition: Wear to surface as expected with age and use, but intact with light mineral deposits. Old inventory labels on base.
