Pre-Columbian, Colombia, Muisca, ca. 600 to 1600 CE; Caribbean, Taino, ca. 1000 to 1500 CE; Peru, Chimu, ca. 1100 to 1470 CE. A diverse group of thirteen Pre-Columbian artifacts representing several cultures of ancient South America and the Caribbean. The lot includes a pair of Chimu spiral earrings, one cast in bronze and the other in a copper-silver alloy, along with nine Muisca tumbaga votive figures known as tunjos, small ritual offerings deposited at sacred sites. Completing the group are two Taino figural amulets, one carved in stone and the other in bone, reflecting the symbolic and protective imagery associated with personal adornment and spiritual practice in the pre-Columbian Caribbean. Size of largest (tumbaga figure): 0.6″ W x 1.2″ H (1.5 cm x 3 cm)

Condition: Weathering to surfaces commensurate with age with nicks, abrasions, and some stable fissures. Rich patina throughout.
