Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A pottery figure depicting a nude male standing with legs slightly apart and arms raised across the chest. The figure displays a tall headdress and prominent jewelry, with the body modeled in a compact, rounded form characteristic of Colima figural sculpture. Size: 2.5″ W x 6″ H (6.4 cm x 15.2 cm); 7″ H (17.8 cm) on included custom stand.
Condition: Small chip to headdress, otherwise intact. Root marks and manganese deposits.
