Franz Kinnen Original French Travel Poster - 1939

Franz Kinnen (Luxembourg, 1905-1979), "Ville de Luxembourg" original color lithograph poster, hand-sewn to linen backing, ca. 1939. Printer: Huss. A vibrant graphic depiction of the Ville de Luxembourg in a striking color palette of red, white, and blue - printed by Huss and with a canvas backing. Text below reads, "Editee par le Syndicat a'Initiative de la ville de Luxembourg - projet Franz Kinnen". Text on upper right margin reads, "Impr. Huss, Lux". A very rare vintage poster from the Luxembourg office of tourism in the 1930s. Size: 24.25" W x 40.75" H (61.6 cm x 103.5 cm)

Condition: Poster is hand sewn to linen backing. Includes printed inscriptions in lower and upper right margins confirming artist and printer. Wrapped in cellophane and has not been examined outside the wrapping, but appears to be in overall good condition save expected creases and slight toning and wear.
